Yang Hyun-seok Engaged to Former Sweetie Member

Yang Hyun-seok, the CEO of YG Entertainment and former member of legendary Seo Tae-ji and the Kids, announced on the company homepage that he is engaged. In the posting he said that he realized that it was time for him to get married to a girl he’s been seeing for the past nine years. Yang revealed the identity of his secret girlfriend for the first time, saying that it’s Lee Eun-ju, a member of YG Entertainment’s first girl group Sweetie.

Lee is 12 years younger than Yang, and also the only sister of Lee Jae-jin, formerly of idol group Sechs Kies. Lee Jae-jin is currently serving in the military, but has received a leave to attend his sister’s birthday party, where Yang announced that they were engaged. Yang said that the date has not been set yet, but will probably not be this year. He also said that the wedding will not be a public one, for he had promised Seo Tae-ji that he will not hold a wedding ceremony even when he does get married. Yang revealed that he was opposed to marriage even when he was young and the decision to spend the rest of his life with Lee came only recently even after nine years together.

On the same posting, he also made announcements on G-Dragon’s special surprise events and release of live DVD, and future album releases of YG Entertainment musicians.
