Super Junior "Miina" Album Sales Break Past the 100,000 Mark

Super Junior seems to still be the best at selling albums. Just eight days after the release of their fourth album "Miina", they've already sold over 100,000 albums!

As of May 20th at 11:30 AM, 95,359 copies of "Miina-Version A" were sold. This in addition to the 13,047 copies of "Miina-Version B" brings the tally up to 108,406 copies. The only difference between the two versions is the CD jacket covers; the songs are the same.

This feat isn't exactly a surprise though as SM Entertainment had announced earlier this month that 64,800 copies of "Miina" were already pre-sold online along with 133,685 copies reserved before the album release date at stores to boast a total of 198,485 pre-sold copies.

After the mid 2000's, album sales have been struggling and it's been difficult for artists to sell many copies. In fact, Super Junior is only the second artist/group to have sold over 100,000 copies. The first group to do so was Girls Generation.

A related source said that they expect sales to even break past the 300,000 mark. Super Junior is considered the best at selling albums after their third album "Sorry, Sorry" sold over 250,000 copies.
